Draco-Cello

Filed under: Celli — admin @ 7:58 am

There’s another company who’s selling electric ‘cellos - these are too way cool… The ‘cello name is Draco-Cello, to give you an idea of how cool it looks! I wonder if it sounds as awesome as it looks? I think that 2000 euro is too much for my blood to satisfy curiosity, so if anyone has tried this one out, please let me (us - the readers, too!) know what you thought of it?

‘Cello online

Filed under: Music in General, Celli — admin @ 8:23 am

When I first heard about this site, I was a bit unimpressed. I mean, come on! ‘CelloOnline? Of course, when I read the site name, I read something that wasn’t really the name of it. I read, “Cellooo N Line.” Since going out to see the site, I’m much more impressed. This person has put a lot of effort into making the process of distance learning a much easier process.

Bow magic - Designer from a dream

Filed under: Celli — admin @ 6:07 am

Mr. Steven Beckley makes some way cool bows. One of them, he got the inspiration for in a dream and he publishes on his site that the bow’s design credit goes to someone who’s not born yet.

No. Really. Go read it.

I’ve been looking (for a good piece) for a good picture that displays the Parts of a ‘Cello

Bow holds for little hands

Filed under: Celli — admin @ 2:51 pm

I was searching for a method to help D hold her bow easier. It’s always all about concepts and once you get it (at least for D & I), you just have it. There’s a site author who posted “Bowholds for Young Cellists,” answering just that problem. Give it a read if you’re trying to help someone with small hands.

Cello Bow Guide

Filed under: Celli — admin @ 2:57 pm

This would have been useful for both D & I when we were starting to learn ‘cello. This company designed a product to help a boy from Vancouver (Washington? BC?) who, because of an illness, needed some assistance keeping the bow where it needed to be.

Musical Universe

Filed under: Celli — admin @ 5:03 pm

On the “heels” of my previous post about instruments and learning them have many “hidden” costs, I’ve located a great little guide to teach potential new students how to find their ideal ‘violin, regardless of size of the instrument.
